Men's Bible Study

Many Christians find it east to identify with the Apostle Peter.  He was at the same time bold, yet weak in his faith, but it was not until he fully understood Jess and was restored by Him that Peter could stand firm on his faith.  Pastor Lee walks us through The Life of Peter: Molded in the Master's Hand , a book by Dr. Derek Thomas, following him from his first encounter with Jesus through his defining moments in the book of Acts.  Join us every Tuesday at 9 AM.

The Way of Wisdom-2.png
The Way of Wisdom

The book of Proverbs describes godly wisdom as a path that leads to life and flourishing.  It also warns of the folly of worldly wisdom as a path that leads to the grave.  Every day we face the choice between the true riches of God’s instruction or the fool’s gold of earthly pleasures and pursuits.  How often do we call to mind the wisdom found in the sayings of Proverbs to shed light on the path before us?  How relevant do we even believe these ancient words are to our modern world?  Join us on Thursdays at 10 AM for this 8-week study by six different Bible teachers, all facilitated by Carole Carter-Cleaver.

Ecumenical Councils.webp
Sunday Morning Bible Study

The Seven Ecumenical Councils (325–787 AD) were foundational, church-wide assemblies held to define orthodox Christian doctrine against heresy, primarily focusing on the Trinity and the nature of Christ.  They solidified the Nicene Creed, established the divinity of Christ and the Holy Spirit, and defined the hypostatic union.  The foundation for these councils is often traced to the Council of Jerusalem (Acts 15), where Apostles and elders met to resolve doctrinal disputes, setting a precedent for councils to resolve matters of faith and discipline.  Join us as Pastor Lee explains these councils, their history, driving personalities, and theological significance for the church and believer today.
